The Health & Family Research Group (GISEF) is focused on the study of individual and family psychological processes in the context of Illness, Health and Wellbeing. The purpose is to understand the psychosocial and psychophysiological impact of chronic illness in patients and caregivers/family members; the promotion of individual/family health, namely healthy lifestyles; the clinical and psychophysiological impact of stress (including traumatic stress, post-traumatic growth and burnout) in vulnerable groups; and integrated healthcare services delivery, in order to promote the well-being and quality of life of patients, families and caregivers.
